Have you ever wondered who helps when a local family experiences a devastating home fire or other disaster? Red Cross volunteers from the community are among the first people to show up and offer help and hope. How do they know what to do in a time of crisis? We train them! If you want to learn how the Red Cross responds, and how to become that person that your neighbors can rely on in a time of disaster, we invite you to join us on Saturday, May 18 from 10am to 2:30pm at the Decatur Red Cross office. Our fun and interactive training will help you earn the credentials to be a volunteer disaster responder. You'll meet other cool volunteers, have a meaningful day, make new friends and expand your knowledge and skill set. We will provide lunch, too. Please let us know if you have any dietary restrictions or allergies.
Want more information? Please call or text Connie at 309-207-5266. To sign up for this great training, please click here! We just need to know who is coming and how to reach them so we have enough food and class materials.
