We have an awesome camp out at Lake Springfield, and we need some help getting it cleaned up after a fun and adventurous summer.
Mini-projects include:
- removal of invasive plant species
- clearing brush/weeds away from fence line
- burning the brush/limbs that have fallen over the season
- Repainting picnic tables
- weed whacking
- cleaning/organizing the shed
Supplies that will be useful if you can bring them:
- weedeaters
- hand or chainsaw for smaller limbs
- paint brushes
- loppers/trimmers
- gloves
- long sleeves/pants & closed toe shoes
Supplies we will have on hand:
- paint & brushes for the picnic tables
- plenty of water & other drinks
- shovels/spades
- brooms for sweeping out the shed
The Camp is located right next to Bridgeview Park. If you're coming from the Marina, go past the marine, then TRN Club, then Knights of Columbus, Then the road will curve to the left as you pas the entrance to bridgeview park, and the Camp is the next property on your right. There is a sign out from with the B&G Club logo, and the formal name of our camp, which is Camp SERTOMA.
