The American Red Cross has teamed up with the Harlem Globetrotters, as their official charity partner, to assist communities across America to prepare for, respond to and recover from disasters big and small.
The Harlem Globetrotters will be in our area in the coming weeks and we’d love for you and your colleagues to join us! We are looking for passionate volunteers to help raise funds to support our disaster relief efforts and build Red Cross awareness in our community.
The activity we need your help with is called Pass the Bucket. It’s as simple as it sounds—a group of enthusiastic volunteers engage the crowd and pass a bucket to collect donations during the game! If you join us, you would:
• Create a volunteer team: Encourage your colleagues to sign-up as volunteers and join us at the game.
• On game day, volunteer teams will be assigned to specific sections of the arena and collect donations during the 3rd quarter. After collection, volunteers will return funds to a secure, designated processing area within the arena.
That’s it! Both before and after the donation collection process, you will be able to relax and enjoy the show from your complimentary seats!
