Who We Are

Enos Park is considered one of the most historically and architecturally important neighborhoods in Springfield. Although not part of the original platted town of Springfield, Enos Park was largely developed between the 1830s to the 1900s as a predominantly residential neighborhood with homes for Springfield’s wealthy citizens and working class alike.

The Enos Park neighborhood is bounded by 2nd Street on the west, 10th Street on the east, Carpenter on the south, and North Grand on the north. It is a primarily residential area completely surrounded by the boundaries of the Mid Illinois Medical District. Memorial Medical Center is located at the western edge of the neighborhood, St. John’s Hospital on the eastern edge, and SIU School of Medicine and Prairie Cardiovascular on the southern boundary.
