Our Mission Defines Everything We Do...
The Springfield Area Arts Council enriches the community by promoting all art forms and providing creative opportunities to participate in and enjoy the arts.
Incorporated in 1976 as a 501(c)3 organization called Springboard, SAAC currently serves Sangamon and Menard counties through arts education, programs, events, outreach, and advocacy.
What We Do
SAAC encourages development of arts programming, enhances educational curriculum, provides economic opportunities to artists, and fosters cooperation among arts organizations. SAAC also serves as a re-granting agency for state and city funds.
