On August 16, 2026, the Mini O'Beirne Crisis Nursery received damage to the playground and backyard due to a tree splitting in half and falling down. Thankfully the damage to the buildings was minor, but our playground was not so lucky. We lost two pieces of play equipment, one of which was less than 3 months old. The tree has now been removed but there is more clean-up to be done. We would love to have some extra hands to help us remove the broken pieces of equipment, pick up small limbs and leaves, remove weeds, and restore order to the area.
Should time allow, we do have front and side landscaping areas that could be spruced up as well.
We will gladly provide lawn bags. We have a few pairs of gloves and one or two rakes available. We also have a leaf blower/vacuum.
Volunteers may want to bring gloves of their own if they have them, garden tools such as rakes and shovels, and bug spray. (Those mosquitoes can be pesky!)
